National Black College Tour

Conyers, GA - At a time when so many historically black colleges and universities are struggling due to a lack of endowment or decrease in student enrollment, there finally seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Founded in 2006, The National Black College Tour, Inc., is becoming one of the largest college tour agencies in the nation, serving over 3,000 students and visiting over 40 historically black colleges and universities.

With the help of such notable partners as Subway Restaurants, and the Hilton Hotels Corporation, The National Black College Tour, Inc. seeks to provide high school students with an unforgettable opportunity to see, first-hand, the unique educational experience that historically black colleges and universities have to offer.

Standard tour registration includes bus transportation, hotel lodging, meals, tour t-shirt and bag, college prep seminars, as well as covering all tour recreation/entertainment activities. Each tour participant also receives a waived application fee with Edu, Inc., an Atlanta-based company that provides students an opportunity to apply to over 34 historically black colleges and universities at once.

Although Atlanta (Georgia) serves as the hub city or primary departure location for all of its tours next spring, The National Black College Tour, Inc., also provides students from out-of-state a registration package that also includes round-trip airfare courtesy of Delta Air Lines.

Milan Ford, founder and director of The National Black College Tour, Inc., and college minister for over ten years, understands that security and supervision is a top priority for many parents. The National Black College Tour, Inc. provides paid chaperones for each of its tours. The student-to-chaperone ratio is eight to one.

The 2008 tour dates for The National Black College Tour, Inc., which have been aligned with high school spring break schedules from all across the nation, are March 16-21, March 23,28, April 6-11, and April 20-25.

Standard tour registration is only $725. Non-Standard tour registration (which includes round-trip airfare and additional airport ground transportation) for out-of-state students is $1,025. Tour deposits are due November 16.
