Black Bike Week

For those of you who have never experienced the phenomenon known as, "Black Bike Week", we have one question:

Are you sick?

If you know what a Butterfly valve on a titanium exhaust does to a ZX-10R, and you have an affection for bikini-clad women, you must be in Myrtle Beach, SC on Memorial Day Weekend.

Black Bike Week, also known as, "Atlantic Bike Festival", is an annual event held in Myrtle Beach, South Caronlina, during the Memorial Day Weekend. It has become the 4th largest motorcycle rally behind Daytona Beach Bike Week, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Laconia Motorcycle Rally. The next Black Bike Week event will be held from May 24- May 29, 2006, and is expected to draw even larger crowds than last year.

During this week-long event, over 300,000 men and women make the trek to Myrtle Beach to show off their bikes and their assets. If you're a man on a bike, there are plenty of sistas wanting to ride. If you're a girl wanting a ride, there are endless numbers of men willing to accomodate you. But be forewarned: Not all brothas show up in Myrtle Beach, willing to give free rides to the ladies. Likewise, not all women who attend the festivities are seeking to ride motorcycles. If you have problems on either side, be sure to flag down one of Myrtle Beach's men and women in uniform. There will be plenty of them around.

Along with the bikeshows, there are tons of parties, lots of concerts, and even more food. We would like to offer you tickets to the event, but there are none. Black Bike Week is a public event with 90% of the activities taking place on the streets and beaches. There is no cost to attend, but the clubbing isn't free! Be sure to bring enough credit or cash for parties, clubs, concerts and restaurants along the main strip.

Black Bike Week is more geared towards the grown and sexy, so we do not recommend bringing children under the age of 18 to the event.

If you do decide to make a weekend out of it, bring plenty of energy and remember to be safe.

Should President Obama have a national discussion about race before leaving office?
Yes. There is too much racism, and he is the perfect one to address it.
Maybe. It wouldn't hurt to talk about, but I'm not sure if it will help.
No. He's the president--it's not his job to fix racial issues.
