Washington Redskins Lineman Chris Samuels Shares His Philanthropic Vision With Presidential Hopefuls Hilary Clinton and Barak Obama as Samuels Announces He's Giving Away A Free Home

Washington, DC - Recently, when former First Lady Hilary Clinton and Senator Barak Obama, were in Selma, AL for the 40th anniversary commemoration of the Bloody Sunday voting rights march, they gathered most of the press attention.

While Clinton and Obama made pleas for their presidential campaigns, Redskins lineman Chris Samuels announced that he's giving away a home, free and clear, to someone in Selma's Dallas County during the pre-march rally on the steps of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church on March 4, 2007. Samuels met with both Clinton and Barak about his philanthropic enterprises during the various "Bloody Sunday" events.

Established to provide affordable housing and homeownership education for low income families in Samuels' native Alabama, the Chris Samuels Foundation plans to give a new home to a deserving, low-income Dallas County family or resident after attending his Home Ownership Symposium in Selma on May 5, 2007. There will be a drawing at the close of the Symposium and the winner will be announced by Chris Samuels and Selma's Mayor James Perkins. In addition, Samuels' organization is constructing low-income housing for Hurricane Katrina survivors living in Alabama.

What would you do if you know a woman who endures daily domestic abuse?
Nothing. It's none of my business.
If I see it with my own eyes, I might call the police.
Notify the police and secretly recommend an abuse shelter to the victim
I don't know.
