Glory Road
Saw this movie and liked it. I think the character development of the players could have been a bit better they focused too much on Derek Luke's character and his relationship with Tatayna Ali's character was tertiary to the story.

Josh Lucas did a good job as Don Haskins the coach...certainly an up and coming actor here.

Glory Road was a bit melodramatic and utilized a fair amount of "artistic license" to create tension that may or may not have existed then. Meaning, from the movie you would have thought that playing black players was a rarity but the NBA had been integrated for 10 years at that point so it wasn't "that" shocking. It was shocking to see 5 black players beating the best 5 white players though. Don Haskins caught hell for that.

Good movie. Not as good as Remember the Titans but a worthy Sports film to watch.

I haven't seen this one, but a friend has and he said that the timeline is off. He said one scene had a coach talking about black players not being the future of b-ball when the nba already had Wilt, Oscar Robinson, Bill Russell. You would think the producers would've caught that

After doing a little research about Don Haskin's team it was clear that Disney took a fairly large artistic license here.

He didn't recruit all the black players at once.
It wasn't his first year
The team did not have confidence issues. In fact Bobby Jo Hill fell asleep before a huge game. Haskin's himself said "They didn't think anyone could beat them"

He didn't start 5 black players to make a statement he started the 5 best players that could beat Kentucky

I still liked the movie but Disney went a little far off the path here.
