Inside Man
Saw Inside Man(IM) on monday and enjoyed it. I consider it a bank robbery movie with a heart. The story is two fold what appears to be a simple yet cleverly architected bank robbery becomes a story about the desire and motives of multiple characters.

Denzel Washington's character is looking for redemption of sorts after his name is muddied in a prior case where he's accused of mishandling money from a bust. This bank robbery is a chance for him to get back on track in his detective career.

The bank being robbed contains a secret by the Chairman. He desperately wants to keep his secret.

IM is a good movie and entertaining. I'd say it's not a very dynamic movie however. You do not have those moments where you're fidgeting in your seat because of anxiety. There really is no "bad" character that you grow to love/hate and that doesn't help as well but in the end it's a well crafted movie that tells a story. Jodi Foster's character was a bit wooden but I enjoyed the humanity that Clive Owen's character displayed.

Worthy of a watch.

Well, I don't get out to movies often, but I do like Denzel Washington.

The promo states that if you liked "Dog Day Afternoon", you'll like this movie.

Do you think that's true?

Dog Day Afternoon was a much more powerful movie. Of course when you put Pacino in a role like that he's taking the energy knob to 11. I did think the movie was well directed by Spike.
