Gospel Superfest 2007 Moves to Atlanta From Blacknews.com - August 7, 2007
Cincinnati, OH - United Television, LLC the producers and founders of Gospel Superfest TV announced today that it will move its 2007 production to Atlanta, GA. The show, which is syndicated five times a year and airs on multiple cable-networks, made the announcement official today.
After a successful three-year run in New York City the super production team has packed up and moved back to Atlanta, for its up coming October '07 recording session. The show will tape its star-studded array of gospel and R & B performers at Atlanta's newly constructed Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (Atlanta's new multi-million dollar complex). "This is going to be very special, and significant to the continued growth and development of gospel music TV, Atlanta's rich gospel music heritage, and for the thousands of fans who will be in attendance." states GSF executive producer and founder Dr. Bobby Cartwright, Jr. "With this new state of the art facility, and our great production team, we will take an aggressive approach to the production that I hope our fans and faithful viewers will truly appreciate. So get ready for a lot of special moments and surprises," Cartwright further states.
Gospel Superfest 9 "Live In Atlanta" will take place Friday & Saturday October 26th & 27th, 2007 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, which is located just north of Downtown Atlanta, at the Cumberland Mall Exit (I-75 north at the I-285 perimeter) The 146-million dollar, state of the art facility is the new 2007 home for Gospel Superfest TV.
Tickets go on sale Saturday August 4, 2007 at 10:00 AM ET at the Cobb Energy Centre box office and all Ticketmaster outlets nationwide! On-Line purchases available at www.ticketmaster.com and www.gospelsuperfest.com.
Superfest' producers have invited some of the nation's top actors and actresses, gospel artists, R&B artists and dignitaries to join them for this history making session.
Invited guests include: Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., Trin-i-tee 5:7, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Dottie Peoples & Peoples Choice Chorale, J. Moss, Coko (formerly of SWV) Hezekiah Walker & LFC, Howard Hewett, Ricky Dillard & New G, Norman Hutchins, The Rance Allen Group, Bishop Noel Jones & City of Refuge, Zie'l, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, Tonex, Steven Hurd, Kevin Davidson and The Voices, Bishop Neal Roberson, Dwayne Woods, and several others.
Noted Actor Clifton Davis will take the reins as show host for the eighth consecutive year. Co-host(s) will be announced at a later date. Celebrity Presenters include: Flex Alexander (One On One), Ben Vereen (Tony Award Winner), Robin Givens (Actress – Author).
