Santa Monica, CA -- She's 35; one of the sexiest and most talented artists on the planet; a bonafide entertainment diva; and she's been nominated for eight Grammys.

R&B icon Mary J. Blige led all Grammy nominees with eight, including record and song of the year ("Be Without You") and R&B album of the year ("The Breakthrough").

Blige has won three previous Grammy's including ("I'll Be There For You/You're All I Need" - 1996), ("He Think I Don't Know" - 2003), and ("Whenever I Say Your Name" - 2004).

Mary J. Blige was born in the Bronx, New York and began singing in her church choir at an early age. Her debut album, "What's The 411", was released in 1992 and featured a number of Billboard and U.S. entries.

Other nominees include Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Blunt, the Dixie Chicks, John Mayer, Prince, Rick Rubin, will.i.am and John Williams, Beyoncé, Gnarls Barkley, T.I and Justin Timberlake.
