Media Kit Press Release: The Premier Online Magazine For Black Men
The Premier Online Magazine For Black Men

Over the past few decades, the Black community has seen the emergence of numerous media resources aimed at empowering and promoting the Black woman. Magazines such as Essence; talk shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show; and a host of books and periodicals have provided a rich supply of information for Black women across the Diaspora. But where can we find similar types of media resources designed to encourage and support our Black men?

Popular websites like Mybrotha.COM answers that question by delivering its own supply of high-quality content targeting Black men of all ages and backgrounds. The site is a doorway to hundreds of articles constructed to help men with a wide range of lifestyle topics including relationships, love, health, fitness, careers, community issues, family, and responsibility.

Since its creation in early 2002, Mybrotha.COM has been providing weekly articles, stories, and educational information for Black men worldwide. It also offers specialty sections like its 'Spotlight on Successful Brothas', and its popular relationship advice columns. The magazine is exclusively online, which means it's always free and always available to its audience.

According to the magazine's founder, Clark E. Solomon, the question most often asked by readers is, "When is the magazine going into print?"

"Don't expect to find Mybrotha on newsstands anytime soon.", says Solomon.

"While I would never rule out the possibility of print production, we feel that we reach a much broader audience by offering this information in a web-based format. Our goal is to touch and influence as many Black men and women as possible. We believe that the Internet is the best medium to do that, and we want to keep the magazine accessible and free."

Solomon has been at the helm from the beginning when Mybrotha.COM was a mere 7-page magazine with only a few articles. Now, the site hosts hundreds of articles, entertainment features, quizzes for men, message boards, and a weekly newsletter which is distributed to thousands of readers. Men who peruse the online magazine can find everything from grooming and shaving tips -- to advice on dating and how to handle turbulent relationships.
