Whoever said that grown men shouldn't play with dolls obviously never got a chance to glance at these grown and sexy figurines. With their debut album PCD, and its #1 hit, "Don't Cha,", The Pussycat Dolls are quickly turning heads as they bring a lot of talent and sexiness to the table.

Before you categorize "The Dolls" as a recreation of those Spice Chicks, take note of the accomplished voices and smooth dance moves in this talented group. These ladies go way beyond pop-fad status as they continue to work with today's top songwriters and producers including Timbaland, Sean Garrett, Will.I.Am and Ron Fair.

Robin Antin, the creator of the singing and dancing sextuplet, assembled the group while choreographing music videos for such artists as The Offspring, and No Doubt. Antin was rooming with actress Christina Applegate in L.A at the time, but had the desire to do something a little different with her career. She brought lead singer Nicole Scherzinger together with Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, and Melody Thornton, all accomplished performers with extensive careers in singing and music, videos, and dance ensembles. The group began performing at the Sunset Strip's popular Viper Room, where they amazed club-goers and club-owner, Johnny Depp.

The Pussycat Dolls have seen a number of members come and go since its inception in 1995, including Carmen Electra, who was one of the lead dancers. The group started gaining mainstream attention with its current set of Dolls while playing the Viper Room, and appeared on the Strip every week for over six years. The group later took the stage at The Roxy where they featured guest performers like Charlize Theron, Gwen Stefani, and Nikki Costa.

Today, The Dolls are high on the charts once again with their follow-up single, "Stickwitu", proving that they are nowhere near, "one-hit" status.

Staying true to the world of entertainment, there is now a Pussycat Dolls line of makeup from Stila and the Pussycat Dolls Lounge opened in April 2005 inside Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas. The steamy lounge features a different group of performers during the week.

Look for "The Dolls" to offer a line of lingerie, perfume, video-games, and other projects, in the coming months.
