RealGreek Apparel Launches Line to Serve Greek Frats, Sororities, Masons, Eastern Stars
-

El Cajon, CA - REALGREEK APPAREL (RGA) is proud to announce the launch of its full scale apparel lines catering to African American Greek fraternities, sororities, Masonic and Eastern Star organizations. The announcement was made jointly by RGA's principals Robert Taylor, Managing Partner of RGA; Joe Temple, President/Co-Founder; and Keenan Montgomery, CEO/Co-Founder.

The company has also aligned with renowned fashion designer and longtime J.C. Penny executive Don McKnight as Head Designer/Director of Quality Control; and Lonnie Martin, Vice President-Product Development and Sourcing. Music industry marketing executive Arthur Mitchell joins RGA as Vice President of Business Development.

RGA offices will be based in the Silicon Valley Area and Dallas, Texas, and will offer a full product line consisting of athletic wear, casual wear, head gear, leather jackets, a denim collection, specialty t-shirts, and will shortly expand to leather goods & accessories, high fashion jewelry and a line of kids wear. The affordable Greek clothing will retail starting at $20 for tee shirts to jackets ranging from $100 to $300.

With the prevalence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, active Greek alumni and the success of films like "Stomp the Yard," black Greek fraternities and sororities are more popular than ever - with a membership of 2 million and growing and Masonic and Eastern Star membership established well into the hundreds of thousands.

RGA's pre-launch campaign took place during the summer of 2006 at the Alpha Phi Alpha 100 year anniversary celebration. The RGA presentation was the "talk" of the four-day event, with sales far exceeding projected expectations. RGA also attended the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority national convention in Detroit in July, 2006, where they launched their well-received "Pretty in Pink" collection to more than 10,000 sorors.

"RGA will be to Greek apparel what Sean John is to men's fashion - what Baby Phat and BEBE are to women's fashions," says Joe Temple. "This gives you an idea on where we're taking the Real Greek organization and the brand, as well as our commitment to creating and delivering a quality product to our customer."

The RGA concept and venture is a great idea, says Don McKnight. "I found this to be a unique opportunity to raise the bar for Greek merchandise. We look forward in meeting this new challenge, this new opportunity, and as we do, the sky is the limit for RGA."

RGA will offer spring/summer and fall/winter apparel lines with a look and flare that consists of three styles: distinguished, sporty and classy. "The time to represent the change is now, says Keenan Montgomery, "So why are you still wearing paraphernalia?"
