Gary March is a contemporary sculptor whose creations are derived from inner peace, nature and dreams. The surrounding beauty of naturalistic and non-naturalistic materials influenced his carvings during his childhood. Today, his carvings emanate many different faces of life.

Gary March was born in Birmingham, United Kingdom and graduated from The London School of Art where he received an extensive education in fashion design, interior design, upholstery design, furniture design, and historical carving.

Among March's achievements include tree sculptures, wood carvings, commercial carvings, mask making, carved furniture in stone and wood, and a sculpture housed in St George's Cathedral Windsor Castle.

Born to Jamaican parents, Gary's family migrated to England in the 60's to seek a better quality of life. This was common among Caribbean's as many sought to provide a more diverse surrounding for their children. The values and discipline instilled by Gary's parents is prominent in his life, and the lives of his two brothers. Those same values are at the core of his art and continue to spark creativity and passion in his works.

Gary March also dedicates an enormous amount of time to the community by voluntarily providing workshops on carving to underprivileged children between the ages of 9 - 18.

On July 28, 2006, the Architect and Sculpture Committee of Windsor Castle chose March's carving known as the Grotesque, to appear on St George’s Chapel's Main Arch at Windsor Castle.

Currently, Gary March is commissioned to create a sculpture for the Mayor of Hackney, London UK.
