Hines' growing and thriving business is frequented by businessmen, NBA and Olympic athletes, and offers organized Alaskan fishing trips for those seeking a true fishing adventure.

Captain Scott Hines has known, fished with and worked with business partner and Anchor River, Alaska resident John Ferrell, owner of Alaska Action Anglers, since he was 5 years old.

Scott Hines "My dad took me fishing in Marina Del Rey, California on John Ferrell's boat when I was a little kid and on my first trip, I caught more and bigger fish than anyone else on the boat, including the crew."

From that day forward, fishing became "what I was born to do" and at the age of 8, had a sponsorship from Shimano Reels and a new nickname, "Golden Arm".

Since then, he has spent many years working on fishing boats and in the water with his own boat fishing throughout California.

He then started fishing big tuna, marlin, Dorado and Wahoo in Mexico, Costa Rica and the long range boats before ultimately coming to Anchor Point to join John Ferrell as a business partner and Charter Fishing Guide.

Recently, he purchased the the Homer six-pack boat "The Rebel" and the boat will be running fishing trips throughout the Cook Inlet with Captain Ferrell, "whom I consider to be the best fisherman in the world", in the 2006 fishing season.

Captain Scott is licensed as a Master of Steam or Motor vessels of up to 50 gross tons and is certified in First Aid, CPR and Heartsaver AED.
