Nashville, TN - Gospel music lovers are in for a treat once again as the "Stellar Gospel Music Awards" brings back its annual star-studded event bringing together some of the biggest names in Gospel music and noted celebrities to the nation's most renowned city for all things music, Nashville.

Undoubtedly one of the industry's most anticipated gospel music award shows, the "Stellar Awards" will kick-off a night of soul-stirring, hand clapping, foot stopping praise on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at the historic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. This year's co-hosts include a trio of Stellar Award favorites, who are among today's hottest and most innovative gospel artists – the incomparable Kirk Franklin, the energetic Tye Tribbett and powerhouse sister-duo, Mary Mary.

Sure to be one of the most highly-buzzed events of the New Year, the "Stellar Gospel Music Awards" has confirmed a number of performers, presenters and celebrity guests, along with a distinguished list of award recipients.

Internationally acclaimed Gospel quartet legends, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, will receive the distinguished "Allstate James Cleveland Award," which is given annually to someone who has made a major impact in the development and advancement of gospel music. Bringing their own bit of sunshine to this year's award show is yet another dynamic Gospel quartet. The Clark Sisters are tapped to receive the "Chevrolet Most Notable Achievement Award" for their pioneering work in song writing, outstanding performances and record sales success in the gospel music industry.

Additionally, among this year's star-packed roster of artists set to perform at "The 2007 Stellar Gospel Music Awards" live in Nashville include the legendary Patti LaBelle, Myron Butler & Levi, Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Tye Tribbett, gospel favorite Vickie Winans, Bishop Paul Morton featuring Kurt Carr and Lew Bartholomew, Byron Cage, The Caravans, Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson, Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, Youthful Praise and Ziel. The slate of who's-who celebrity presenters and gospel music various which include actor and comedian Flex Alexander, big screen starlet Gabrielle Union and actor Idris Elba (both featured in the upcoming Tyler Perry movie, "Daddy's Little Girls"), gospel diva Yolanda Adams, gospel music favorite Israel, harpist Jeff Majors, jazz and gospel music sensation Jonathan Butler, comedian Jonathan Slocumb, Da Truth, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, Lamar Campbell, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and girl group Virtue to name a few.
