10 Things Men Must Have On Their Life's To-Do Lists

How much of your life's to-do list have you completed? Maybe you've put off attending professional sporting event venues, or delayed your life long dream to start your own business.

Whatever your goals are, it can be difficult to find ways to accomplish them. Mybrotha.COM has compiled a list of recommended "to-do's" that may help kick start your journey.

Start by downloading and printing either our recommended list, or the blank list. Fill out your list as each goal is completed to help keep track of your progress.

  1. Travel the world. - Absolutely one of the most essential and rewarding things you can do during your lifetime. We're not talking about a 2-day cruise around the coast of Florida.

Think about those awe inspiring destinations like the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain - which houses some of Goya's greatest works. Or, probe the north African sights, sounds, and smells of various marketplaces in Tangiers, Marrakesh, and Rabat, Morocco. These places, and many others like them throughout Europe, Africa, and the Far East -- are home to some of the most vivid cultural sights on the planet. Besides that -- there's more to this world than your own backyard.

  2. Buy a brand new car. - There's nothing more exhilarating than getting behind the wheel of a clean, newly manufactured, undriven vehicle. Actually, it's probably been driven for 5 to 10 miles during delivery, but nothing on the open road. You're the first human to put it through its true test and the feeling is astounding.

That unforgettable "new smell" doesn't disappear for ages, and it's full of new shiny gadgets just waiting for you to tinker with them. Sure cars depreciate like crazy... (Bankrate states that a car loses 15-20 percent of its value each year you own it). But you only live once, so splurge a bit and enjoy one of the best luxuries in life.

  3. Mentor youth. - Our hats go off to the millions of great fathers and role models out there. Being a responsible and influential mentor is not only one of the best gifts you can give a child, it's also one of the most rewarding.

Being a positive role model for young children can build a strong character based on morality, self-worth, honesty, and principles. Of our 10 "To-Do's", this one is undoubtedly the most unselfish and may be the most effective. If you don't have children of your own, lead by example and encourage someone else's child to be the best they can be.

  4. Buy a new house. - With a myriad of television shows profiling the homes of the rich and famous, you may think you can't afford a brand new house. But the prices can be comparable, or the same as 5-year old house. The difference is, a new home is primed for your own seal of approval.

A new home is uncharted territory just waiting for your personal touch. The windows and walls are new; the paint is fresh; and the floors seem too clean to walk on. Best of all, a new house is a clean slate and you get to customize almost every aspect of it.

  5. Face one of your biggest fears. - Humans are born with only a few fears. For example, the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. Other fears are learned over time, and we all have them. Whether those fears are dangerous animals and insects, traveling on airplanes, speaking in public, or claustrophobia -- fears often paralyze us and may prevent us from exploring some of life's most wondrous treasures.

The American Psychiatric Association says that while fears can be normal responses to genuine danger, phobias are fears that are either irrational or excessive. But both fears and phobias can be treated effectively through either cognitive behavior therapy, medication, or a combination of both.

If you believe a fear is keeping you from being yourself, consider meeting with a trained therapist who can help you confront your fears, control the reactions, and find relief.
