How much of your life's to-do list have you completed? Maybe you've put off attending professional sporting event venues, or delayed your life long dream to start your own business.

Whatever your goals are, it can be difficult to find ways to accomplish them. Mybrotha.COM has compiled a list of recommended "to-do's" that may help kick start your journey.

Create a list by writing down your goals. Check off each one as it's completed to track of your progress. Keep in mind--this list should be maintained over time and will take a few years to complete.

Here's our list:

  1. Travel the world. - Absolutely one of the most essential and rewarding things you can do during your lifetime. We're not talking about a 2-day cruise around the coast of Florida.

Think about those awe inspiring destinations like the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain - which houses some of Goya's greatest works. Or, probe the north African sights, sounds, and smells of various marketplaces in Tangiers, Marrakesh, and Rabat, Morocco. These places, and many others like them throughout Europe, Africa, and the Far East -- are home to some of the most vivid cultural sights on the planet. Besides that -- there's more to this world than your own backyard.
  2. Buy a brand new car. - There's nothing more exhilarating than getting behind the wheel of a clean, newly manufactured, undriven vehicle. Actually, it's probably been driven for 5 to 10 miles during delivery, but nothing on the open road. You're the first human to put it through its true test and the feeling is astounding.

That unforgettable "new smell" doesn't disappear for ages, and it's full of new shiny gadgets just waiting for you to tinker with them. Sure cars depreciate like crazy... (Bankrate states that a car loses 15-20 percent of its value each year you own it). But you only live once, so splurge a bit and enjoy one of the best luxuries in life.
  3. Mentor youth. - Our hats go off to the millions of great fathers and role models out there. Being a responsible and influential mentor is not only one of the best gifts you can give a child, it's also one of the most rewarding.

Being a positive role model for young children can build a strong character based on morality, self-worth, honesty, and principles. Of our 10 "To-Do's", this one is undoubtedly the most unselfish and may be the most effective. If you don't have children of your own, lead by example and encourage someone else's child to be the best they can be.
  4. Buy a new house. - With a myriad of television shows profiling the homes of the rich and famous, you may think you can't afford a brand new house. But the prices can be comparable, or the same as 5-year old house. The difference is, a new home is primed for your own seal of approval.

A new home is uncharted territory just waiting for your personal touch. The windows and walls are new; the paint is fresh; and the floors seem too clean to walk on. Best of all, a new house is a clean slate and you get to customize almost every aspect of it.
  5. Face one of your biggest fears. - Humans are born with only a few fears. For example, the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. Other fears are learned over time, and we all have them. Whether those fears are dangerous animals and insects, traveling on airplanes, speaking in public, or claustrophobia -- fears often paralyze us and may prevent us from exploring some of life's most wondrous treasures.

The American Psychiatric Association says that while fears can be normal responses to genuine danger, phobias are fears that are either irrational or excessive. But both fears and phobias can be treated effectively through either cognitive behavior therapy, medication, or a combination of both.

If you believe a fear is keeping you from being yourself, consider meeting with a trained therapist who can help you confront your fears, control the reactions, and find relief.
  6. Own your own business. - The satisfaction of being your own boss is one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. Even if you don't own a traditional brick-and-mortar store, have a staff of employees, or produce millions in revenues -- being an entrepreneur not only increases your business savvy, it places you in a position to reap some astounding rewards.

For those who reach for the highest heights, be sure to 1) Develop a business plan; 2) Look for investors; 3) Get licenses and permits; 4) Learn about employees, insurance, and legal matters; 5) Grow your business and be successful!

  7. Get a custom made suit. - Slipping into a tailored made suit will make any man want to be a fashion model! Custom made suits are designed around the shape of your body, creating a comfortable second skin that flows magically as you walk. Alterations are a thing of the past when a tailor designs a suit around your physique.

With a custom suit, you own something truly unique that was created only for you. From the perfectly measured slacks, to the double-breasted coat - you'll probably want to wear your suit everyday.
  8. Develop your spiritual connection. - Your spirituality defines your connection to a higher power, which ultimately acts as your guide throughout life. You didn't think it was all "by chance", did you?

Attending a church is a good thing, but how you choose to live your life and conduct yourself will eventually determine whether or not you experience true happiness. Your spiritual connection should be a strong, personal bond between you and your heavenly power. When that connection is well-established, you'll discover an entirely new realm in life where high self-esteem, abundance, and balance are a part of everyday life.
  9. Truly love a woman. - This one is a must! If you've never known the heartfelt feelings of being head over heels for a good woman, you're missing out.

A man will do absolutely anything for the woman he cherishes, and some of the greatest joys in life are gained when you love, support, and care for your lady. Men feel empowered, and both physically and mentally strong when they have a special someone to love.

However, this love thing can't be rushed. Instead spending years searching the corners of the world for love, true love will grow naturally between you and a true soul mate. The experience is a fruitful one and if you haven't been exposed yet, don't worry -- you'll know when it's happening!
  10. Give something back. - With what seems like a never ending struggle to get ahead, no one attains success on their own. Certain elements from your family background, the communities in which you lived, and various life experiences are responsible for your maturation and progression in life. This is especially true if you have been supported by mentors, teachers, family members, or clergy.

Support also includes material, or financial backing from business partners, investors, or those who simply believed in your dreams. Giving something back to your support system is one of the best ways to acknowledge their contributions to your growth and achievements.

There you have it. Ten of the most rewarding "To-Do's" men should explore. Whether you choose Mybrotha.COM's recommended list or your own, go forth and begin filling up those lists. It's never too late to grow.
